Glenwood City Girls Basketball - 10,000 Shot Club
Purpose:
Designed to Improve
Goal:
Our goal as a program is to have at least 20 girls reach the 10,000 shot goal.
Expectations/Requirements:
The 10,000 shot club is voluntary for all girls basketball players grades 3 - 12. You must shoot a minimum of 10,000 shots between May 1st and August 31st. Record the number of shots attempted and/or the number of shots made on the Hilltopper Girls Basketball Shot Tracking Sheet.
You do not need to shoot everyday (vacations, work, etc.) It is about the commitment to taking 10,000 shots and practicing regularly.
Tips/Workouts:
Any type of shot is acceptable, as long as you are working on improving your shooting form and accuracy. For best results, we recommend a variety of shots from lay-ups, jump shots, three pointers and free throws (Please keep in mind that the younger girls should be shooting no further than the free throw line to help promote good shooting form).
Every girl who completes 10,000 shots and submits their tally sheet verified by a parent or legal guardian will earn a spot in our club. Every girl in our shot club will receive a t-shirt recognizing their commitment to the GC Girls’ Basketball program. They will also be recognized at one of our home varsity basketball games during the regular season. Our goal as a program is to have at least 20 girls reach the 10,000 shot goal.
Upon completion of the 10,000 shots, please have your tally sheet completed and verified by a parent or guardian.
Below are some links to some PDF workouts to change up the types of shots you take. There is also the digital tracking form for easy tracking. You will need to make a copy of the sheet in order to edit.
